Frequently asked questions

How do I record a dance video?

Open Boog and tap the record button on the camera screen. The first time, iOS will ask permission to use your camera and microphone — tap Allow so Boog can capture video and audio. Tap the button again to stop. Your take is saved automatically to your gallery.

How does A/B looping work?

Open a clip in the player and set the loop's start point (A) and end point (B). Boog will repeat just that section continuously so you can drill a specific phrase or transition. Adjust A and B any time to focus on a different part of the routine.

What are projects, and how do I organize clips?

Projects let you group related takes — for example by song, routine, or class. From the gallery you can create a project and add videos to it, keeping all your reps for one piece in a single place.

How do I export a video to share it?

Choose a clip and use the export option to save it to your iPhone's Photos library. From there you can share it through Messages, social apps, or anywhere else. Boog asks for permission to add to Photos the first time you export.

Where are my videos stored? Are they uploaded anywhere?

Your recordings are stored locally on your device. Boog does not upload your videos to any server. They only leave your phone when you choose to export them to Photos or share them yourself. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Boog can't access my camera, mic, or photos. What do I do?

If you previously declined a permission, open the iOS Settings app, scroll to Boog, and enable Camera, Microphone, and Photos as needed. Then reopen the app.
